In July 2009, BBBS of Russia strenghtened its presence in Russia by planting its flag on Mount Elbrus (5,642 m) at the height of 5,100 m. Elbrus is a volcano located in the western Caucasus mountain range near the border of Georgia and it is the highest mountain in Europe.

BBBS of Russia’s flag was placed on the mountain by Mr. Sergey Sirotenko (PricewaterhouseCoopers), a former Big Brother and one of the most devoted Board members at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Russia.

This flag celebrates the innovative and positive work of BBBSR, which is focused on enhancing the quality of services provided to children-at-risk in Russia.
