Big Brothers Big Sisters is a one-to-one youth mentoring program that pairs children with volunteer adult mentors. The program began in the United States in 1904 and is spreading all over the world.

How is BBBS International related to BBBS of America?

BBBS of America is the oldest youth mentoring organization in the world. It is the national organization in the United States for over 400 local BBBS agencies. With the release of the Public/Private Ventures research in the 1990s, BBBSA received numerous requests for services from all over the world. BBBS International was established as a separate NGO in 1998 to respond to those requests and develop BBBS mentoring in countries outside the US.
